This historic site is located just south of the Platte
River confluence on what was once an island in the Missouri River.
From this spot more than 100 years earlier you would have
witnessed five or more great riverboats docked at the foot of Main
Street Plattsmouth.
This was the location from which the
"Emigrant", "Salt Lake" and "South
Platte" trails would lead Pioneers west to their dreams.

Lewis & Clark as they spent more than 2 days exploring and
documenting the area in detail.
Morehead Island offers a great
opportunity for anyone interested in opening a small business
