he news that many people were hoping for including myself has finally happened. Cottonwood Marina in Blair, NE is under new ownership.

The new owners are Bob & Judy Hutton, Kirk Hutton and Jeff Thelen. The Hutton's also own Pop-n-Doc's Marina in Decatur, NE.

	Cottonwood Marina (MM651.5) and the Riverland Park Resort campground are now under new ownership and will be open for business this Summer.

Riverland Park Resort, the campground next door to the marina is also under new ownership. The new owners of the campground are Randy & Jody Beach. They are the current owners of  Linoma Beach Resort in Gretna, NE.

Both properties were sold at a public auction that was held on Thursday, March 30th.

This is really great news for boaters and campers alike who enjoy spending time on the banks of the Missouri River. The experience and success the new owners have had with their other business ventures about says it all. I think we can look forward to having a great place for family and friends to meet.

Anyone looking to secure a boat slip at Cottonwood should call Jeff Thelen at (402) 238-2226 or by email. Priority will be given to boaters who were previous slip holders.

It's no secret to anyone who has visited Cottonwood in the past few years that many improvements will need to be made but the new owners are hoping folks will support them as they go through this transition period. 

The marina is tentatively scheduled to open with gas available on May 15.
