construction is now under way for a new marina. The lake had been
closed to visitors since 2007

when the lake was drained to remove
approximately 4 to 6 inches of silt.The lake, which is
surrounded by 1,050 acres of parkland including a campground and
other facilities, will be open to no-wake boating beginning next
Spring. The new marina will provide boat slips and better access
to the lake for sailors, fishermen and other recreational boats
such as pontoons.
Marina features include:
- 60 Full size dock slips (10' x 24') with power and water
- Some half slips
- Moorings
- Bath house with restrooms and showers
- Courtesy dock at the boat ramp
- Beach area for easy launching of small boats
- A space to lock dinghies and trailers for day-boating
- Picnic area, parking and a lighthouse
- Private docks will have 24 hour gated security
Reservations for boat slips are being taken now. All slip
reservations require a $250.00 non-refundable deposit. Mooring
reservations require a $150.00 deposit. The balance will be billed
in January.
Rates for reservations made by September 15th are:
$995.00 for full size slips
$650.00 for half slips
$500.00 for moorings
